IT Architects is a young, innovative and specialist IT recruitment consultancy dedicated to the recruitment of senior IT professionals, including IT Architects, Chief Technical Officers, IT Strategists and Project Managers, who can help bridge the gap between business and technology. Our clients include major IT consulting companies, Internet startups and end users based in the UK, Ireland and continental Europe. Skills Shortage With a major world-wide shortage of experienced IT professionals, our task of sourcing and identifying the best talent is certainly a difficult one. Many companies and governments are currently addressing this skills shortage by a reappraisal of both recruitment strategies and immigration policies. Forrester Research (‘Peopling Europe’s eT Strategies’ – Nov 1999) surveyed IT leaders and HR specialists among 36 major companies in Europe including Ariba, BroadVision, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cap Gemini and SAP AG. Not surprisingly, the majority highlighted a shortage of e-Commerce expertise, ERP implementation skills and IT managers with strong business orientation. Nearly two thirds experienced project delays or problems to difficulties in resourcing IT talent.
