Role Responsibilities

The Project Manager has responsibility for:

  • Managing the full lifecycle of innovative and large-scale £multi-million Internet based projects
  • Shaping and delivering complex solutions from initial strategic planning to final implementation
  • Managing and meeting customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Managing systems development, package customisation and systems integration projects
  • The Programme Manager will be responsible for:

  • the delivery of strategic programmes at the highest level involving IT and non-IT elements for major blue-chip organisations
  • Experience Indicators

    Project Managers should ideally demonstrate:

  • 3 years’ plus project management experience
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with formal management and analysis methodologies and tools including PRINCE, PROMPT, SSADM & DSDM
  • Proven project delivery skills with previous budget responsibility of £2M+
  • Iterative Development Aware (awareness of RAD, JAD & Iterative Time & Cash boxed development)
  • Awareness of Component Based Development & Prototyping
  • Proven ability to lead cross functional teams
  • SLA (Service Level Agreement) Definition & Negotiation
  • E-Business Awareness
  • Programming, analysis and design background
  • Solid technical understanding
  • Programme Managers should ideally demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ IT experience
  • Proven successful track record in delivering large programmes covering Business transformation, architecture design, systems development and integration projects through the full lifecycle.
  • Excellent contractual and commercial experience
  • Risk Management experience
  • Third party management
  • Bid Management & Business Development
  • Ability to shape solutions
  • Proven experience of dealing at board level
  • Management of project managers
  • Bid management and full P+L responsibility for large scale projects
  • For both Project and Programme Managers, experience gained in one or more of the following areas is advantageous:

  • Enterprise Resource Planning
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Enterprise Application Integration
  • Multi-tiered distributed systems
  • E-Business and Integrated Supply Chains
  • Personal
